APPLICATION GUIDELINES
The applicant’s project proposal will be evaluated based on the content
of the categories delineated below. Each content area is weighted for
evaluative purposes. Applications should be approximately 10 pages in length and
include a 500-word abstract. There is no formal application form. The
guidelines below are intended to serve as a framework for the project
proposal.

PROJECT
PURPOSE, RATIONALE AND SIGNIFICANCE
(20 points) |
Identify
the emerging issue, problem or concern to be addressed. What is the
relevance of the project to social work services delivery? How will
the findings of the investigation be useful to social work education
curricula? |

LITERATURE
REVIEW
(20 points) |
A
comprehensive review of the literature significant to the project
should support the rationale for the emerging issue, problem or concern
that is to be addressed. |

PROJECT
DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY
(25 points) |
Discuss
the study design and methodology that will be used for the project
investigation. Include sample criteria, method for data collection,
instrumentation to be used, and plan for data analysis. If project
is to be undertaken in partnership with another institution/agency,
provide documentation of a written commitment of the partnership.
If human subjects are involved, appropriate institutional/agency
approval must accompany the application. |

PROJECT
TIMELINE
(10 points) |
Delineate
and provide justification for the project timeline. The applicant
should demonstrate an ability to complete the project within the time
schedule delineated. Discuss those particular aspects of the project
that may be completed or are already underway. |

PROJECT
BUDGET
(15 points) |
Provide
a line-item budget in six-month intervals.
Is completion of this project dependent upon additional in-kind or financial support? If so, have these resources been confirmed/obtained? Please provide the appropriate documentation. Project expenditures meet stated guidelines. Refer to the "Grant Support" page for project expenditures that cannot be support by a FGP grant.

QUALIFICATIONS
(10 points) |
Proposal
submission should include the applicant’s professional vitae.
Provide
a copy of a recently published article, if available. What is your current faculty
status? List all courses taught within the last three years. |
